Another nail in the coffin for Prop 8. Today the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower federal court Judge's ruling striking prop 8 down as unconstitutional.
Unfortunately, this does not mean the continuation of marriage for same sex couples in CA. Judge Walker (lower court judge) stayed his ruling so that is still in place. Their will likely be another appeal to a much larger appeals panel followed by a request to hear the case by the Supreme Court . . . so litigation for years to come. But etiher way, this ruling will set precedent . . . legal discrimination against LGBT folks in slowly but surely dying in America.
