Wow, That Sucks For Them!
Today, Apple announced some pretty awesome changes to there iPod line up. Lots of changes made to the line up, the most noticeable - the new iPod Classic (looks like the old one with a click wheel) and iPod Touch. The iPod classic will hold more songs(80GB, shit, mine was 20GB!) comes with a larger color screen and priced less at $249. Not bad. The iPod Touch looks like the iPhone and works much like it. It even runs Safari (Apples web browser) and has WiFi. This will run you $299.
Oh, but my favorite announcement today was a price reduction. Yes, it sucks for those who waited in line for DAYS to buy an iPhone because Apple announced that they are scrappin the 4GB iPhone and sticking with the 8GB model - with a $200 price cut! Yeah, that's right, no more paying $599 for a phone! $399! Now I want one! But I'm gonna do my hardest not to buy one. Here's why:
1.) For right now, I don't want to switch from Verizon to At&t . . . there network is not as good as Verizon.
2.) My friends . . . yes, almost all of them have Verizon. They'd use more minutes when we chat, as will I.
3.) Apple's always making innovations to its products. The iPhone is revolutionary, but will move much further in early spring. So, I should just wait until they make some updates.
But I do feel bad for those who just bought the iPhone. It's kind of a slap in the face to drop the price so drastically and so soon. The iPhone hasn't even been out for 6 months yet.
The engineers and other employees at Apple are quite creative and certainly know how to create a buzz. What other computer/electronics company creates so much buzz around there products? I mean every just yawned when Microsoft released Vista. I guess the real test will be when Apple releases OS X Leopard next month. I know this new Mac user is awaiting its arrival!
Oh and by the way, this is my 100th blog post! YAY!
