President Bush to America: We're Above the Law

I'm outraged and totally can't believe the latest crap coming out of this White House! President Bush commuted the sentence of VP Cheney's former chief of staff.

As you'll recall, Scooter Libby was convicted of obstruction of justice and perjury for leaking the identity of a CIA operative and then lying about it. He was given a sentence of 30 months in prison and a $250,000 fine, plus probation.

The President felt that the punishment did not fit the crime. Um, bull shit! You're not a judge or jury. Both decided this case and that is how it should stay. This is completely disrespectful of the judicial system (which the President doesn't seem to care about. Google: Patriot Act) and just sends a message to America saying "Yes, we're above the law and can do anything we want....and since Congress can't grow a set of balls, we'll continue to act this way".

Ok, Weekend update later on today.... I just needed to let this one out! lol
