Catholic Governors & Marriage Equality

Gov. Gregoire, Washington
Has anyone picked up on this?  Not one, not two, but THREE Catholic governors have signed the last three same-sex marriage bills in the last 8 months.  New York Governor Cuomo, Washington State Governor Christine Gregorie and this week Maryland Governor Martin O'Mally.

Proof positive, the real meat and potatoes in the Catholic Church rests not with the clergy or Vatican but with those in the pews.

Catholics aren't afraid to speak out against the hierarchy anymore.  Why should we be?  They lost all crediability with the sex abuse scandal.  10 years later and we're still dealing with it.

Same-sex marriage is no threat to the Church . . . two loving men or women should be allowed to publicly proclaim their love for one another in front of family and friends. . . and get the legal benefits too!
